Center Zmugg Kampf Kunst School Event in GrazThis past weekend, Blackbelt-Master Perry Zmugg of Graz hosted the spectacular 3-Day “Spirit of Martial Arts” Budo-Gala. Complete with lights, theatrical effects, and professional sound, over 500 local friends and citizens enjoyed the five (5) hour presentation of world-class self-defense and physical fitness excellence here in the city of Graz. The spectacular show included demonstrations by students aging from five (5) years through fifty (50+) years, and highlighted popular Asian arts including: Sin-Moo Hapkido; Wing-Chun; Shaolin Kung-Fu; Free Concepts and; Real Arnis. The Mayor of Graz attended the event and gave a dedication at the opening ceremonies on Saturday. Over thirty (30+) children participated in the demonstrations. An awards ceremony was held recognizing the fifteen (15) top youth competitors from the prior week’s ‘World Sin Moo Hapkido Federation’s’ Austrian Children’s Hapkido Competition. Hapkido-Founder “DoJuNim” Ji, Han Jae (South Korea) and Grandmaster Ken MacKenzie (USA) also awarded each proud child with a beautiful World Sin-Moo Hapkido Federation gold medal award, each with a neck ribbon thoughtfully displaying the Austrian flag colors. During the closing ceremonies, twelve (12) internationally-recognized Blackbelt promotional certifications were presented. Included was Blackbelt Perry Zmugg’s elevation to the coveted level of seventh (7th Dan) degree Blackbelt in Korean Sin-Moo Hapkido. Advancing “Chief-Master” Perry Zmugg to this level were DoJuNim Ji, Han Jae (Korea’s highest ranking grandmaster), along with federation President, Grandmaster MacKenzie from America. Serving as the grand-finale to the Gala, World Martial Arts Hall-of-Fame Inductee Perry Zmugg improved upon his Guinness Book of World Records ,Chop Stick Break in front of the massive and excited crowd. In addition to Saturday’s Budo-Gala, Chief-Master Perry Zmugg and his students hosted the largest martial arts / Sin-Moo Hapkido seminar ever held in the city of Graz or surrounding areas. Over 100+ grandmasters, masters, instructors, blackbelts and students enjoyed over sixteen (16) hours of training directly under DoJuNim Ji, Han Jae, Grandmaster Kim Sou Bong, as well as 9th Degree Blackbelt Grandmasters Ken MacKenzie (USA), Jurg Ziegler (Switzerland) and Rony Dassen (Belgium) during the two-day training event. Zmugg was proud to have hosted experts and teams from Korea, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Slovenia, Croatia, and the United States of America. In celebration and appreciation of ten (10) years of successful service in Graz, Center Zmugg has committed to donating a FREE 30-Day Fun, Fitness & Self-Defense program to all citizens of Graz. This spring and summer seasons, folks as young as three (3) years of age, as well as children, teens and adults will enjoy this gift as donated by one of Graz’s favorite son’s, Chief-Master Perry Zmugg! |
